SURVEY: Library Impact/Relief from Bridge Collapse

For an article I’m writing, I would like to find out how Twin Cities/Minnesota libraries were impacted by, and assisted with the relief efforts of, the 35W Bridge Collapse. Please take a moment to answer the following questions and reply to me. Please reply by Friday Nov. 30. Thanks for your help!

  1. Your library’s name/location:
  2. How was your library impacted by the bridge collapse?
  3. How did your library respond to the bridge collapse? (Relief efforts, special subject guide or website, etc)
  4. Does your library have an emergency disaster plan?
  5. Did your library create or update any disaster plans or emergency communication lists as a result of 9/11, Hurricane Katrina, or the Bridge Collapse?
  6. Have your library staff members responded to any other disasters, such as 9/11, Hurricane Katrina, Tsunami, or California Wildfires? (By sending resources, funding, or staff to conference projects, etc)
  7. Anything else you’d like to add? Tips for handling disasters?

Again, thank you for your assistance! Summary of survey results or a copy of the published article will be available upon request.
