Survey on mentorship in libraries

Paula Seeger from the University of Minnesota Law Library is looking for input for an article on mentoring. She'd like responses by Monday December 10. Please send responses directly to Paula.

  1. Have you ever been a mentor to a library staff member (ever; not just in your current position)?
  2. If so, what were/are some positive and negative aspects to your mentoring relationship?
  3. Have you ever sought out a mentor to assist you in your library career?
  4. If so, what did you find useful or less useful about your mentorship?
  5. How would you know if a mentorship is successful?
  6. Any other thoughts on mentors in libraries?
